She furthered her studies in Italy, where she obtained a Canto Biennio in the Giuseppe Verdi State Music Conservatory and pursued vocal coaching from the Milan Conservatory. Kim also obtained a degree in Privatista from the Luca Marenzio Music Conservatory in Brescia. Having studied under Professor Shin Ji-hwa in Korea and Professors Bonaldo Giaiotti, Luigi Petroni, and Diego Crovetti abroad, Kim is actively performing on various stages as a professional performer.
