The 2024 M Collection Series presents pieces of Haydn and Brahms under the theme of “War & Love”. Time to appreciate the whole pieces of Haydn’s later work “Missa in Tempore Belli (Mass in Time of War)” and Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Waltzes”. Haydn’s “Missa in Tempore Belli (Mass in Time of War)” created during the Austria’s mobilization for war is also called “Paukenmesse” due to Timpani’s dramatic expression. Brahms’ most lively and exhilarating piece, “Liebeslieder Waltzes (Liebeslieder-Walzer)”, is a collection of love songs for soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and the piano four-hands.
