Ensemble SpaceEstablished in 2009, the ensemble Space, comprising of musicians actively engaged in teaching younger students and performing, began with the inaugural concert of the ensemble ’Space’ Project I at Kumho Art Hall on October 9, 2009, led by violinist Professor Ahn Dong-ho who serves as the music director and ensemble leader. Every year the ensemble presents more than three concerts, including one regular, invited, and charity concerts. Since an invited concert at the Grand Theater MIR hosted by Yongsan City Hall in 2010, the ensemble Space has performed in various venues, including locations in Gangwon-do and Jeju-do, as well as a charity concert at the Gapyeong Hyeon-ri Environmental Village, a family concert in 2015, a concert selected as an ’Excellent Performing Organization’ hosted by Youngsan Art Hall in 2017, and a performance for the citizens of Jinju with LH in 2018. In 2018, the ensemble held regular concerts and special performances at the Seoul Arts Center, and continues to develop as a dedicated classical music sharing organization. The ensemble ’Space’, assembled to contribute to making pure classical music accessible to the public, has been focusing on exploring the string chamber music repertoire. They also deliver highly accomplished performances that enable a wide audience to easily understand and enjoy classical music.
