줄거리 :  명문가의 민며느리로 들어간 인숙은 엄한 시어른들과 나이어린 남편으로 눈물나는 시집살이를 해야만 했다. 그동안에 장성한 남편 봉환은 유학을 마치고 오는 길에 일본여자 사요꼬를 데리고 귀국하여, 이혼을 요구한다. 인숙은 봉환의 요구를 따라 이혼에 동의해 주지만 봉환이 기혼자라는 사실을 안 사요꼬는 일본으로 돌아간다. 봉환은 과음으로 건강하지 않았지만, 인숙은 봉환에게 헌신하고 그제서야 봉환은 아내앞에 참회의 눈물을 흘린다.

SYNOPSIS : The main heroine, married to the eldest son of a distinguished family, suffers severe mistreatment from her in-laws and her immature husband. When her husband returns home after studying in Japan he brings along a Japanese woman, asking his wife a divorce. She agrees, but the Japanese woman leaves him, learning that he was a married man. The main heroine and her husband get back together, and the husband regrets for his past.
